Camelback Hanging Sign Specs, Standard In-Stock

• Made from two cedar or mahogany planks biscuit joined as top and bottom rows with added stability of left and right vertical stiles, also biscuit-joined. The camelback top shape is cut and shaped using hand tools.
• All components are primed on the joined sides before joinery - a practice I learned from a maker of the finest custom cedar historic house shutters. Any joinery seams are only visible upon close-up inspection.
• All edges both sides of sign surface are finely routed with a colonial beaded edge.
• Once fabricated, the bare cedar sign is primed with high-quality oil-based wood primer, multiple top coats painted standard Westhighland White (color options available).
• Hand layout and hand lettered with brushes using traditional signwriting methods with your custom text in a hand lettered font selected from our Font Guide.
• UV-protecting clear coat is applied to protect the finish and allows the painted cedar wood to expand and contract naturally and normally. Its engineered to withstand Mother Nature.
• Matching heavy-duty 1/2" thick lag screw eye hooks in black painted stainless steel are embedded at 14" centers from which to hang the sign from a hanging bracket and post. The 29" hanging bracket with ball-end finial is recommended. See our selection of hanging scroll brackets.

• For this camelback hanging sign only, we will make a computerized layout after payment is processed. But note it's only used for your review and it is not used in making or painting the sign.
