Rectangle Cedar Historic House Sign

Hand painted using brushes and traditional signwriting methods and cut from "five-quarter" (or 1-1/4 inches) thickness Western Red Cedar plank. The extra thickness allows the classic ogee routed edge to set up and show off the sign surface. This ogee edge is only available on this 90-degree rectangle sign shape, and not the french corner sign shape. Can be lettered with or without a painted border.

Four rectangle sizes: 18w"x12h", 16"w x 12"h, 15"w x 9"h and 12"w x 9"h. The Knapping House c.1806 sign shown here is the 16"x12" rectangle size. Matching wood buttons and install screws provided. Longer width cedar rectangle can be cut by request.

The 12" height rectangle plaque fit three lines of text comfortably. The 9" height rectangle cedar plaques fit two text lines and work as a smaller historic house sign or also as a house number or street address sign. The rectangle sign gallery below shows many examples of the text layouts.
